Human Resources Audit, or Healthcheck

This is a Questionnaire over about 150 detailed points, covering the whole range of HR Policy and Process.

It covers all aspects of HR people management, including

  • the initial recruitment advertisement
  • the use of Application Forms
  • the Interview itself
  • the Staff Handbook
  • Policies
  • day-to-day procedures
  • exit processing
  • discrimination

The Audit takes place over a number of sessions. These start with an extensive interview with the HR Manager, which includes an examination of supporting documentation and evidence. Then we take the notes away and produce a full Report together with any necessary observations and Recommendations. Finally the Report and Recommendations are discussed, so that we can be certain we have made the Report as useful and relevant as possible, and to agree any further Action Points.

In order to make this a practical and worthwhile exercise we take account of

  • legal requirements
  • current best practice
  • strategies to avoid trouble

The cost will vary depending on the state of your HR function. Typically it would be around £500 for two half-day sessions plus the Report.
